Through Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) no-cost mental health and substance use services are offered throughout the Sea to Sky region. There are separate offices in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton that complete their own intakes based off city a person resides in. Psychiatry, counselling, and group therapy and/or education services are offered. Individuals can self-refer for short-term counselling or group support (such as mental health, trauma, or alcohol/substance use educational groups). A referral is required for psychiatry services from a general practice physician.

Children’s Counselling - The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) (https://www.sscs.ca/sexual-abuse-intervention-program/) - Provides therapeutic individual counselling and/or group therapy to children under 19 years of age who have experienced sexual abuse or are suspected to have been sexually abused or assaulted. Counselling is also provided to non-offending parents, guardians and family members. The program also provides community education on sexual abuse intervention and prevention.
This program is funded by the Province of British Columbia.
Women’s counselling - The Stopping the Violence (STV) program (https://www.sscs.ca/womens-counselling/) - The Women’s Counselling Program provides Stopping the Violence support at Sea to Sky Community Services. It offers trauma-informed, non-clinical counseling to women who have experienced sexual assault, abuse, violence in a relationship, or childhood abuse or violence.
In addition, Whistler, Pemberton, and the Southern Stl’atl’imx communities have a Stopping the Violence Outreach Worker. The worker provides support, advocacy, accompaniment, and local transportation to medical, legal, and social services, to women who have experienced violence or abuse. This program is funded by the Province of British Columbia.

The Counselling Assistance Fund (CAF) subsidizes the cost of private counselling with a registered clinical counsellor for individuals (15+ years old), couples and families who live in Pemberton or Squamish, and who could not otherwise afford to access counselling services. EHN Canada offers in-patient, virtual, and out-patient addiction services throughout Canada. The in-patient treatment centre on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo uses evidence-based mental health treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). They anlso incorporate wellness approaches, including fitness, yoga, and mindfulness, all designed to augment the many recovery methods they use, including SMART, Dharma, and 12-step-based recovery programs.
